To support SMMEs across the precinct, the Waterfront has built a virtual Community platform. The intention is to facilitate stronger connections between tenants, peer-to-peer learning, and access to current news and events at the Waterfront. The community is in its pilot phase: 20 business owners are onboarded and testing the platform before it is formally launched to the broader Waterfront SMME community.
Built on the Hivebrite platform, the community features a member and business directory, an events page, a discussion forum and a news and opportunities page, all summarised in the live feed. This feed also pulls in updates from the Waterfront’s social media pages. Coming soon is a business support curriculum offering on-demand content around business fundamentals including tips, tools, resources and best practices.
