Where was your business when you entered the Challenge – and how have things evolved?
At the time of our entry in 2024, we were still validating our manufacturing process and product. Our focus was proving that plastic waste could become a premium material rather than a low-value recycled product.
Since then, we’ve grown into a manufacturer of recycled plastic sheets for furniture, retail, and interior applications. We’ve expanding our recycled material range to include HDPE, post-consumer plastics, and discarded fishing nets, and include compression moulding, manufacturing custom products from recycled plastic for businesses and designers.
We now work with brands, architects, designers, and manufacturers across South Africa, helping businesses replace virgin materials with circular alternatives.
Collaborating with Sealand on their retail stores, which diverted 1,250 kg of plastic waste from the waste stream, has been a significant highlight.
What’s next?
Scaling production, investing in new machinery and manufacturing capacity and expanding our range of recycled products and materials.
